Step into a day of gentle making and quiet magic as you create your own glowing willow lantern. In this hands-on course, you’ll learn how to shape flexible willow into an elegant lantern frame, then transform it with layers of tissue paper to catch and diffuse the light.
Guided through each stage, you’ll explore simple willow construction techniques alongside playful experimentation with colour, pattern, and translucency. The result is a lightweight, luminous lantern - perfect for festivals, garden gatherings, seasonal celebrations, or simply bringing warmth to a dark evening.
No previous experience is needed. This course is suitable for beginners and for anyone drawn to working with natural materials, light, and form. The emphasis is on creativity, curiosity, and enjoying the process rather than perfection.
