Our wool is mixed, mostly Shetland, Texel and Soay, and spun in small batches at Curlew Weavers, processed using only water rather than the standard acid treatment.

100g of wool is needed to make a man’s hat with 5mm needles or size needed to give the correct tension of 20sts and 28 rows to 10cm.
Weight of hanks are approx 200g. Length of hanks are approximately 200 meters.
