Slow stitching - Monday 29th 9:30 - 12:30

£35.00

Guided by Iona, you’ll explore hand-stitching, darning, patching, and decorative embroidery to transform rips, holes, and frays into beautiful, eye-catching details. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own items to mend.

Join us for a relaxed and inspiring day of slow stitching, sustainability, and creativity—because every stitch tells a story!

Your tutor is going to be Iona, who is a qualified and experienced fashion designer from Manchester who has been making clothes for herself and others for over 40 years. Taught to knit by her Gran at an early age, she has enjoyed being able to create unique one- off pieces

Iona has a keen interest in what is being described as slow fashion, helping people learn the skills that will enable them to make pieces that they will want to wear and wear again for years to come, either from locally sourced materials or by upcycling garments / bedding.
