A complete introduction day to using natural dyes. Your learning will include aspects of the following;

Harvesting plants - flowers, leaves, bark and roots.

The options of dye processes - hot, solar, cold, fermenting and all in one for example.

What is and how to mordant. Using modifiers to get different colours.

Different fibres and how these affect results.

You will leave with knowledge to enable you to start natural dyeing with confidence at home. At the end of the workshop you will take away samples of yarn, fleece and fabrics which will give you reminders of your experiments and results.
